DelDOT Deploys Crews Throughout the State

Posted:

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware Department of Transportation officials say they have snow removal crews deployed throughout the state to clear roads, but say drivers should avoid travel if possible.

Transportation officials say crews are plowing snow and spreading salt in Kent and Sussex counties on Thursday. But snow has still accumulated as deep as 2 inches on some roads.

In New Castle County, transportation officials say roads are wet with some icy spots. Road crews are spreading salt in those areas.

Roads remain slick because surface temperatures are below freezing throughout the state. Officials say drivers should avoid unnecessary travel and allow extra time to reach their destinations if they must travel.
