Police Make Arrest in Stabbing Incident

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury police responded to a stabbing incident over the weekend.

It happened Sunday afternoon in the 400 block of Elizabeth Street.

According to police, a 32-year-old victim and 21-year-old Douglas Schoolfield got in a verbal argument. Police say it escalated into a physical fight and Schoolfield got a knife and stabbed the victim once in the thigh.

Police say Schoolfield then ran. Officers later found him near the crime scene.

He was taken into custody and charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and carrying a deadly weapon.

The victim was transported to PRMC. He was treated and released.
