Mid-Atlantic Prepares for More Wintery Weather

WASHINGTON (AP) - Spring may be on the horizon, but the mid-Atlantic region is preparing for yet another winter storm expected to coincide with rush hour.

The National Weather Service is issuing winter storm warnings that will be effect from late Wednesday through Thursday night.

Forecasters are calling for a wintery mix that turns to all snow through the morning rush hour. The snow could be heavy at times and forecasters warn that the snow-covered roads will be dangerous.

Transportation officials are warning motorists not to underestimate the intense snowfall expected with this storm and get stuck.

The heaviest snowfall, about 6 to 10 inches, is expected through northern Maryland and into northern Delaware. About 4 to 8 inches could pile up in the Washington area with less expected in southern Maryland.
