SALISBURY, Md.- Investigators say an electrical failure in a bathroom ceiling sparked a Sunday afternoon fire that caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to a Salisbury home.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze occurred shortly after 4 p.m. at a one-and-half story home located at 724 Roger St.

It took 20 firefighters from all three Salisbury fire stations approximately 45 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries but the fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to the structure and another $10,000 in damage to is contents.

The Red Cross is assisting the home's occupant, investigators said.
