MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. - A Wicomico County woman was arrested Sunday after she stole items from a house she was staying at then sold them, according to police.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Emily Derbyshire, of Hebron, was arrested following an allegation that she stole more than $20,000 worth of items from a home she was staying at on Norris Twilley Road in Mardela Springs, while the owner was out of town. Police say the victim identified the missing items as everything from tools, guns, sporting goods, collectible toys, glassware, silverware and jewelry. Police say some of the items were traced to local pawn shops and were discovered to have been brought in by Derbyshire.

Following her arrest, police say Derbyshire is charged with theft from $10,000 to $100,000. She was detained in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bond.
