Posted: Updated:

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland officials say traffic deaths are at historic lows in the state.

Transportation Secretary Pete Rahn, state police Superintendent William Pallozzi and other state officials plan to discuss the specific numbers at a news conference Tuesday in Annapolis.

In a news release ahead of the announcement, AAA Mid-Atlantic says traffic deaths on Maryland roads fell to historic lows last year. The numbers included all traffic deaths in Maryland reported by law enforcement agencies across the state.
