Residents Encounter Burglar Holding their Computer, Food

DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC) - Dover Police have arrested a man after they say he was confronted by people who returned home to find him holding their computer and food.

It happened about 1:50 a.m. Sunday in a home on South Bradford Street. Officers say the residents arrived home to find the man inside holding their computer and various food from their fridge. 

Authorities say when one resident called 911, the man charged at and assaulted the other resident.

Police arrived and arrested 50-year-old Thomas Fleetwood of Dover. He is charged with first degree burglary, attempted theft, criminal mischief and third degree assault. Police say Fleetwood is being held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $6,500 secured bond.
