Posted:

BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are looking for two men who assaulted a man during a carjacking in Brandywine Hundred.

It happened about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Regal Cinema. Troopers say when a man got into his car, another car pulled up behind it.

Officers say two men, one with a handgun, got out and forced the victim out of his car. The robbers took items from the victim's pockets.

Troopers say the robbers began assaulting the man, and one got into the victim's car and drove off. Authorities say the second robber got back into the car the suspects arrived in, and also drove off.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
