Police Seek Suspects in Wilmington Water Company Burglary

WILMINGTON, Del. – Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects who stole scrap water meters from a Delaware water company Wednesday.

According to Delaware State Police, the burglary occurred just after midnight. Detectives from the Burglary Unit say two male suspects entered the property of United Water, located at 2000 First State Boulevard, got into a storage trailer and proceeded to remove 200 scrap water meters from inside. The suspects then took off in an unknown direction with the meters, valued at $800, according to police.

The suspects are described as a white and black male, both between 30 and 40 years old and 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall.

Anyone with information should contact the burglary unit at Troop 2, Glasgow, at 302-365-8565. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet atwww.tipsubmit.com, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
