Two Women Charged in Harrington Domestic Dispute

HARRINGTON, Del.- Harrington police have arrested two women accused of fighting each other in an apartment. 

Harrington police said the incident occurred March 26 at the Diamond Court Apartments. According to police, 33-year-old Melody Russell attempted to strangle 38-year-old Sabrina Waters, and Waters is accused of charging at Russell with a knife. Other residents in the apartment were able to break the fight up before any serious injuries took place, police said. 

Russell was transported to the Milford Police Department while Waters was transported to the hospital to treat minor injuries before being taken to the Harrington Police Department.

Russell is being charged with strangulation, offensive touching, and disorderly conduct. She was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond. Waters was charged with aggravated menacing, offensive touching, and disorderly conduct. Police said that Waters had an active capias out of Kent County Court of Common Pleas for failure to pay a shoplifting charge. She was ordered held in default of $2,000 secured bail and a $39 cash only bail.
