Two Arrested on Drug Charges After Drug Bust in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A man and women are facing drug charges after they were arrested Wednesday during a drug bust in Cambridge.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, on Wednesday, March 25, members of the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Hurlock Police Department and the Cambridge Police Department executed two search and seizure warrants in Cambridge that resulted in the arrest of John Wayne Collins, Jr., 27 of Vienna, Md., and Shatera Lasha Outlaw, 20 of Cambridge.

Police say the two suspects were located in the 2000 block of Hudson Road and 500 block of Glenburn Avenue in Cambridge. During the bust at the home on Hudson Road, police say they found $9,916 in cash, 140 grams of marijuana, two electronic scales, numerous storage bags of various sizes with marijuana residue in them, and a Springfield Arms 9mm handgun which had been reported stolen from an address in Easton, Md. Police say they also found numerous storage bags with marijuana residue and a black pelican case at the Glenburn Avenue home.

According to police, both suspects are charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a regulated firearm, theft under $500, possession of marijuana packaging material with the intent to distribute, and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance while in possession of a firearm. 

Collins was ordered to be held on $75,000 bond while Outlaw was held on $50,000 bond, according to police.
