OCEAN CITY, Md.- General's Kitchen will now be taking over the building where Galaxy 66 once stood, on 66th Street bayside.

"It's definitely going to be as good or better as the old restaurant," said Law Adkins, manager of General's Kitchen. "We have our same staff, same crew, just a bigger location with more parking and it looks like it's going to be promising."

General's Kitchen owner Bob Noll said he looked for many new locations after being told by the past landlord on 74th Street that he was not going to renew the business' lease. Noll says he had just finished renovations to the restaurant on 74th Street when he was told it was no longer his.

Noll says the new location is bigger, which he thinks will be good for business. He looked at other places, including the 33rd Street shopping center and locations in West Ocean City, but decided the restaurant should remain in the central Ocean City area.

"We've told as many people as we can and we are trying to get the word out on the internet and through word of mouth," Adkins said. "It'll just be a matter of time and hopefully next week we will find out if everyone comes back to see us."

The restaurant still needs some work, management says, and has to undergo a few more inspections before opening.

"Right now we are organizing and cleaning and trying to get all our final inspections done," Adkins said. "We are shooting for next Thursday as our opening day."
