Milford Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

MILFORD, Del. - The Milford Police Department is asking for help locating a suspect linked to a bank robbery.  Police say they responded to PNC Bank on 655 N. DuPont Hwy around 4 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of an armed robbery. 

According to Milford Police, the investigation revealed a male suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and pulled out a handgun. Then, police say the suspect provided the teller with a note demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and ran toward the Mcdonald's parking lot. Police say he got into a purple or maroon colored older model vehicle and then fled the area. 

Police describe the suspect as possibly a white male, 5'5 to 5'10, average build, wearing dark clothing and black knit hat.

Anyone with information as to the suspect's identity or whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Dwight Young or Detective John Horsman of the Milford Police Department at 302-422-8081.
