Easton Police Arrest Bicyclist After Crash

EASTON, Md.- Easton police say officers arrested a bicyclist after he would not heed their warnings to calm down at the scene of an accident on April 6.

Police said Harold Joseph Copper, 56, of Glenwood Avenue in Easton, was arrested at the scene of an accident involving himself and a motor vehicle.

According to police, Copper was initially calm until he became enraged with the driver of the motor vehicle and with emergency personnel.

Investigators said it was determined that Copper rode his bicycle into the side of the motor vehicle, which put him at fault for the accident. Copper was charged with disorderly conduct and given a traffic citation for illegally being on the roadway.

He was cited and released on his signature pending trial in this matter.
