GREENWOOD, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a Sussex County man accused of attempting to solicit a sexual favor from his 15-year-old stepdaughter.

Troopers said 42-year-old Kenneth Warren, of Greenwood, was arrested Thursday. Police said he was already registered as a sex offender. Police said on Wednesday, the mother of the 15-year-old was informed that Warren had propositioned the girl in order to have a friend spend the night. The following day, the mother said Warren began sending his step-daughter multiple text messages stating she "owed" him.

Police said Warren was taken into custody at the home on Hickman Road and transported back to Troop 3 near Camden. He was charged with unlawful sexual conduct against a child by a sex offender and sexual solicitation of a child under 18 to engage in prohibited sexual act, according to police. Authorities say he was arraigned and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $100,000 secured bond and he was given a no contact order with anyone under the age of 18.

Police said Warren was listed as a Tier Two (medium-risk) sex offender from a second conviction of a 2003 unlawful sexual contact charge.
