Police say 3 people shot on way to party in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) - A 20-year-old man and two teenagers were shot but are expected to recover after a man opened fire on a group of partygoers in Woodbridge.

Prince William County police say the incident happened about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Forestdale Avenue. Police say two groups of acquaintances ran into each other while walking to a party. Then an SUV pulled up, and a confrontation ensued.

Police say someone in the SUV pulled out a handgun and began firing at the group of 11 people.

Three people were injured in the shooting incident. Police say they are expected to recover.
