Biden Visits Democrat PAC at Hyatt Regency in Cambridge

Posted:
CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Vice President Joe Biden, with a smile and a wave, took the stage before the New Democrats Political Action Committee, a group of 50 some members of congress.  He congratulated them on a job well done since President Obama took office.

"You all stepped up, you members here over the last 6 years.  And you made some very very very difficult and costly decisions," said Biden.

Among the topics discussed by the Vice President Friday were the Iran nuclear deal, and trade negotiations related to the Trans-Pacific Partnership.  But the one point he kept hammering home was how the United States has recovered from the financial recession, and how it can continue into economic growth.

"We democrats sometimes don't remember why we succeeded when we succeeded.  Because the simplistic rhetoric of the other side sounds very appealing and it fits on a bumper sticker.  But what you did was right, it cost us some seats," said Biden.

He says if democrats stick true to their principles, economic growth can continue in the future.

"This is no time to turn back.  The only thing we should turn back, is the Republican budget."

And with that, Biden left the stage to roaring applause.
