PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - Police have obtained warrants charging a fugitive with killing four members of a Petersburg family in 2014.

Authorities say 48-year-old Alexander R. Hill Jr. hasn't been seen since surveillance video showed him at an Amtrak station in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, less than 24 hours after the victims were found on April 19, 2014.

Media outlets report that Petersburg police obtained four first-degree murder warrants against Hill last week. Police earlier had said Hill was a person of interest in the slayings.

Authorities discovered the victims' bodies following a fire at their residence. The state medical examiner has said  67-year-old Pauline Wilkins and 46-year-old Vickie Chavis Ansar died of sharp force injuries to the torso. Twenty-two-year-old Tanique Chavis and 2-year-old Delvair Chavis died of thermal and inhalation injuries.
