MILFORD, Del. – Delawareans spend a great deal of time outdoors, thanks to the many beaches. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published statistics showing that Delaware is among 13 states in the nation that have the highest rate of skin cancer, about 22.9 to 34.1 per 100,000 people.
Exposure to the sun can cause serious skin issues such as cancer. Getting screened for any abnormalities can result in earlier cancer detection and better outcomes.
