Police Search for Attempted Robbery Suspects of Uncle Willies Store

Posted: Updated:
SEAFORD, Del. - Seaford Police are searching for four men who they say attempted to rob a convenience store over the weekend.

Police say on just after midnight on Saturday, officers responded to a 911 call from the Uncle Willies store on Stein Highway in Seaford. Police say officers determined the suspects entered the store wearing masks and one displayed a silver handgun. When the suspects entered the store, police say a store employee fled to the back of the store. The suspects, however, were unable to retrieve any money from the register, so police say the men took off in an unknown direction.

Police say the suspects are described as last seen wearing dark colored sweatshirts, masks and gloves. No further description was released.

The Seaford Police Department is asking anyone with information about this crime to call 302-629-6644 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or online at www.tipsubmit.com . Delaware Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
