Ocean City Plans Hurricane Preparedness Town Hall Meeting


OCEAN CITY, Md. – The town of Ocean City is gearing up for hurricane season with a hurricane preparedness town hall meeting.

The public is encouraged to attend on May 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers on 3rd Street and Baltimore Avenue. The date coincides with National Hurricane Awareness Week.

The meeting will offer residents a chance to learn how Ocean City tracks storms and plans evacuations and how to prepare one's own family for a hurricane.

Personnel from the Ocean City Emergency Management and the Department of Planning and Community Development will join Ocean City Emergency Services Director Joe Theobald at the event.
