4 Hospitalized After Synthetic Marijuana Overdoses in Md.

MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police say three men and a woman are hospitalized after smoking synthetic marijuana.

Officers called to a homeless camp in Millersville near Route 648 and Route 10 on Thursday for a report of an overdose found four unconscious people. Police say an investigation revealed they had purchased synthetic marijuana, called "spice," from a local convenience store.

After getting a warrant, police searched the store, seizing 26 bottles of liquid spice and 11 packages of synthetic marijuana marketed as "potpourri" and labeled with the name "Scooby Snax."

Police say the four victims are: a 52-year-old man in critical condition, 45-year-old woman in critical but stable condition, a 57-year-old man in stable condition and a 38-year-old man who is in intensive care but expected to survive.
