Easton Man Arrested for Child Abuse

EASTON, Md.- Authorities say an Easton man is behind bars following his arrest on child abuse and related charges.

Easton police said that on Thursday, officers responded to a reported domestic violence complaint at the Days Inn at 7010 Ocean Gateway. According to police, officers learned that an argument had ensued between 46-year-old Richard Eugene Keyser and his 9-year-old daughter. Police said the argument got heated and at one point it was alleged that Keyser grabbed and twisted his daughter's arm.

Police said Marks on the girl's arm indicated that it was probable that the assault occurred and Keyser was placed under arrest. Keyser was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree child abuse and ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center on $15,000 bail.
