Alleged Accomack Dognappers Indicted

Posted:

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. - The three people accused of stealing a dog from a home in Accomack County back in January have been indicted by a grand jury on felony charges.

Former MMA fighter, Gordon Shell of Michigan, along with two Virginia Beach woman, Bettina Rodriguez and Charlene Boyajian were indicted Monday by a grand jury on a felony charge of animal larceny.

An Accomack County judge ruled last month there was enough evidence in the cases to send them to a grand jury.  The Accomack County Sheriff's office said it was in January when the three stole a dog from out front of its home on Matthews Road in Hopeton.  Police said the three were stopped in a rental truck on the Bay Bridge as they were making their way back towards Virginia Beach.  The dog has never been recovered.

A court date for Shell, Rodriguez, and Boyajian has not yet been set in Accomack County.
