EASTON, Md.- Easton Police arrested a woman in connection to multiple home invasions in Easton.

Police arrested 29-year-old Amber N. Wilkens after responding to a report of a suspicious person on the 600 block of Elizabeth St.

When officers arrived, police say they spotted a woman matching the suspect’s description behind the residence, climbing down from items stacked beside the home. Police then detained Wilkens for further investigation.

Police say the residents positively identified Wilkens as the person who entered their home. Officers say they found a rear window open, and marks left on the siding.

According to police, officers then found three purses in the bushes behind the home, along with other items. One of the purses had the resident’s mail in it.

Police say they responded to a home invasion on the same block just two days before. The resident told officers he woke up to find a woman, matching Wilkens’ description, in his living room.

According to police, the resident attempted to grab her but she pulled out a knife. Police say she then fled with a jar full of change.

Wilkens is charged with 18 counts, including home invasion, burglary, assault and theft. She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
