HARRINGTON, Del.- Harrington Police arrested a man in connection to a reported theft.

While on patrol, police responded to a business in the 200 Block of Clukey Dr. for a report of a theft.

Police say an employee reported that an unknown suspect had entered the building and stole a large amount of brass fittings that were in a storage area.

During the course of the investigation, police began contacting several local salvage and scrap yards and discovered 26-year-old Brandon Dolly had sold brass fittings at several different scrap yards on several different occasions.

Police determined that Dolly stole more than $25,000 in brass fittings from the business and then sold the items.

Police arrested Dolly Friday night without incident. He was then transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

According to police, a computer check also revealed he had an active capias out of Justice of the Peace Court 6 for failing to appear on a traffic charge.

Police charged Dolly with 3rd-degree burglary and theft over $1,500.

He was arraigned on all charges and the capias and was released on $2,550 unsecured bond.
