SALISBURY, Md.– Low in the polls and without a prime-time stage, Republican presidential candidate and former Hewlett-Packard executive Carly Fiorina is gaining momentum Friday after dominating the FOX News Channel “Happy Hour Debate” the day before.

Fiorina joined six other candidates who did not poll high enough to take part in the 9 p.m. debate. She went after Hillary Clinton, accusing her of lying about Benghazi and her emails, as well as the Democratic candidate’s decision to continue supporting Planned Parenthood.

People on Delmarva say they were impressed with Fiorina’s performance. Eleanor Brewer was not watching the debate live but has since heard some of what Fiorina talked about Thursday night.

"I liked what she had to say,” Brewer said. “I thought she presented herself very well. I'm looking forward to seeing her in the next major debate."

Jack Harper, who did watch the early debate live, walked away from both debates having Fiorina as his top choice.

"She was very presidential, she knows Middle Eastern leaders and has dealt with them on a technical basis,” he said. “I would vote for that lady in a heartbeat. "

Fiorina told CBS she was pleased with her performance, saying she was happy with the opportunity and felt as though she took full advantage of it.
