HARRINGTON, Del. (WBOC) - The Delaware State Fair had its highest attendance in half decade this year. The fair reports attendance of 311,000.

The last time that number was above 300,000 was 2010.

Officials credit a focus on value, broadening the array of things to do and fairly good, consistent weather over the 10-day event.

There were 48,000 people in Harrington for the fair's first Saturday. According to fair officials, it was one of the best single days the fair has had in recent history.
