SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury Mayor Jim Ireton says he is seeking a seat on the city council in November's election.
The city's current mayor is running for the 4th District seat, which includes the Newtown Historic District.
Ireton, who has been mayor since 2009, previously decided not to seek a third term for mayor.
So far, current Council President Jake Day is the only candidate running for mayor. And Ireton is the only candidate running so far for the 4th District seat.
