Oxford Creamery Rated One Of The Top 5 Ice Cream Shops Nationwide

Posted:

OXFORD, Md.-  If you are looking for a way to beat the heat, why not have some of the best ice cream in the whole country?  At least according to Tripadvisor.

In Talbot County, the Scottish Highland Creamery in Oxford has been named one of the top five ice cream shops in the United States according to recent reviews.  The shop has been open for about ten years now.  Susan and Victor Barlow say they think the secret to their success is their recipe, along with lots of hard work.

"It's an Italian recipe.  I worked with an Italian family making ice cream in Scotland for 19 years.  So you could say it's an Italian ice cream with a Scottish flair.," said Victor.

"And he only does it one gallon at a time," added Susan.  "So it's not mass produced, it's not batched out with three to four gallons at a time, it's one gallon, one hand touching it, one man doing it."

If you want a taste for yourself, Scottish Highland Creamery is at the end of Tilghman street in Oxford.
