Delaware Clean Water Task Force to Meet Next Wednesday

Updated:

DELAWARE - The Delaware General Assembly in June declared that the state had a problem with it waterways. This followed reports showing that as high as 90 percent of the Delaware waterways were "unfishable" due to pollution.

As a result, they passed Senate Resolution 30, creating the "Clean Water and Flood Abatement Task Force." The goal of this task force is to find potential "funding mechanisms to improve water quality."

The task force will meet next Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Buena Vista Conference Center in New Castle. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

Wednesday's meeting will be one of many, held throughout the year in Delaware. For more information on these meetings, you can visit here.
