Maryland Governor to Host Fundraiser for Chris Christie

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan is scheduled to host a fundraiser for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's presidential bid.
    
It's set for Thursday afternoon at an Annapolis hotel.
    
Hogan, a Republican, endorsed Christie's run for the GOP nomination for president last month.
    
Christie campaigned for Hogan in Maryland last year in his campaign for governor.

    While driving down Glebe Road back in January 2017, Troy Whaley discovered the lifeless bodies of at least three eagles in a field just off the road. Whaley says he snapped pictures of the eagles' contorted bodies and sounding the alarm.

    More than a year later, WNAV reporter Donna Cole obtained the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service report, finding a total of five eagles in the area died of a banned pesticide called Carbofuran - a deadly pesticide marketed as Furadan.

    After a "peaceful protest" on June 21st when inmates at ECI refused to go back into their cells, a group of supporters for the correctional officers were searching for answers from their political leaders.
