DelDOT Prepares for Labor Day Weekend Travel

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Department of Transportation will suspend planned lane closures on Delaware’s major roadways for Labor Day weekend.

DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center monitors and adjusts traffic centers for heavy congestion or incidents. Motorists can contact the TMC by dialing #77 from any cell phone, or by calling (302)-659-4600 or 1-(800)-324-8379.

DART’s First State bus services, both fixed route and paratransit, will not operate on Monday, Sept. 7 with the exception of the Resort Transit Routes 201-208, its related paratransit service and Route 305- Beach Connection. Monday is also the last day of operation for Route 305, but the Resort Transit Routes will continue to provide service through Sunday, Sept. 13 serving Rehoboth, Lewes, Georgetown, Dewey, Bethany, Fenwick Island and Ocean City, Md.
