Salisbury House Fire Ruled Arson

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say a late Monday afternoon fire that damaged an occupied home in Salisbury was intentionally set.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze occurred at around 5:41 p.m. at a one story ranch style home located at 6430 Mary Jane Drive.

The fire self-extinguished prior to being noticed, investigators said. However, it caused approximately $2,000 in damage to the structure. There were no reported injuries.

Investigators determined the fire originated in the home's exterior and the cause ruled as arson.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the State Fire Marshal's Office at (410) 713-3780.
