Family of Murder Victim Offering Reward for Information

MAGNOLIA, Del.- Six months after the murder of a Dover man who was found shot inside of a car at a Magnolia housing development, the victim's family is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Delaware State Police say Richard Jacobs, of Dover, was found dead inside of his car on March 27, 2015, in a home's driveway in the Meadowbrook Acres development in Magnolia. The manner of death was later ruled a homicide with the cause of death being multiple gunshot wounds to the body, according to police.

The family tells WBOC they are now offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Jacobs' killer.

Delaware Crime Stoppers is already offering a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit at (302) 739-5939. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via www.tipsubmit.com, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
