WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. - The Department of Justice has investigated Wicomico County Public Schools for a "Disparity of Discipline," a source tells WBOC.

WBOC confirmed the investigation on Friday. The source tells WBOC the D.O.J. Investigated the school system earlier in 2015. A second source with Wicomico County calls the report "pretty scathing," and "critical of the school's discipline of minorities."

Details are few at this time.

WBOC reached out to the Department of Justice for that report. They acknowledged Friday that they received the request, but as of Friday night, WBOC did not yet see the report.

WBOC also reached out to Wicomico County Schools for their side of the story. Spokesperson Tracy Sahler would not confirm a Department of Justice investigation of her school system, but Sahler said Wicomico County is reviewing its schools systems policies.
