REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Days after multiple social media posts by the Delaware State Police and Rehoboth Beach Police, the Delaware State Police made an arrest Friday in connection to multiple robberies in the Rehoboth Beach area.

Thanks to numerous tips through Crime Stoppers, as well as evidence from the scenes, and interviews, detectives say they were able to link 28-year-old Anthony Lynch, of Lewes, to three robberies in the Rehoboth Beach area. State Police say Lynch was arrested Friday for the robberies that occurred on Delaware Avenue and at the Tanger Outlets. Sgt. Richard Bratz, with the Delaware State Police, says the Rehoboth Beach Police Department has also obtained a Robbery warrant for Lynch and will execute the warrant upon his incarceration.

The first incident occurred on Sunday, August 30, where Lynch allegedly tried to take a woman's purse that was attached to a baby stroller. Police say the stroller was knocked over in the process, injuring the child. The second incident, according to police, happened Tuesday, September 2, when Lynch allegedly pretended he needed to borrow a lighter for his cigarette, then grabbed a woman's purse instead.

Sgt. Bratz says Lynch was found at a home on Wil King Road Friday in Lewes, and was taken into custody. Lynch is charged with two counts of second-degree robbery. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $8,000 secured bail.
