Police ID Man Found Dead in Felton Area Home

FELTON, Del.- Delaware State Police have released the name of a man found shot and killed Sunday in his home west of Felton.

Troopers said Douglas Kimball, 48, was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the living room of his home in the 1000 block of Cabin Ridge Road.
 
Troopers were called to the scene at around 10:45 p.m. Sunday for a check on Kimball's welfare. Police say a friend of his was concerned for his well-being after he had not been heard from since the previous day. Upon entering the house, Kimball was found dead in the living room from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper torso, according to police.
 
The Delaware Division of Forensic Science was contacted and removed the body from the scene.  An autopsy determined the cause and manner of death to be homicide by multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
 
The investigation is currently in its early stages and more information will be released when it is received.
