Former Dover Little League President Charged with Theft

DOVER, Del.- A former Dover Little League President is facing charges in connection with theft from the league.  

Police say 52-year-old William Berry turned himself in to the Dover Police Department Friday, Sept. 11.

During the investigation, police discovered Berry was taking money from the organization and using the leagues credit card for unauthorized personal purchases totaling over $4,000 over a period of time.

Berry was released on $7,000 unsecured bond. He is charged with Theft Over $1,500, Theft by False Pretense Over $1,500, Unlawful Use of Payment Card Over $1,500 and two counts of Forgery 3rd-Degree.
