Cordova Woman Charged in Deadly 2014 Crash

EASTON, Md. – A Cordova woman has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and other offenses a year after a crash that killed another driver.

According to the Easton Police Department, 20-year-old Leslie Anna Zeleny was arrested Wednesday as a result of a grand jury indictment and arrest warrant. The charges stem from a crash on Oct. 4, 2014, that killed Katelyn Nicole Moore.

On that date, officers say Zeleny was texting while driving and hit Moore's vehicle in the area of Route 322 and Talbot Village.

Police say Zeleny was charged with several types of manslaughter, driving offenses and handheld device violations. She was taken before the Talbot County District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance, then taken before the Talbot County Circuit Court Judge and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
