Updated for Tuesday Evening: DelDOT List of Road Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation says the following roads are either closed due to high water, or the roadways are passable, but with water on the roadway due to the recent storm. Motorists are advised to use caution. Many roads are back open, or are at least passable.

The following roadways are CLOSED due to high water: 

Sussex County

- River Road at Point View in Oak Orchard

New Castle County

- Nonesuch Creek Road at Airport Road
- Old Corbitt Road between Route 9 and Route 299

The following roadways remain OPEN, however, water is on the roadway, especially during high tide, and motorists should use caution while traveling in this area:

Kent County

- Hubbard Avenue at North Bowers Road
- Cypress Branch Road at the Bridge
- Pickering Beach Road from the Wildlife Refuge to the beach
- Ponderosa Road between Plain Dealing Road and Cypress Branch Road

Sussex County

- Prime Hook Road in Milton

New Castle County

- Pyles Lane at Pigeon Point

The road posting will be in effect until the water has receded to a safe travel level.
