SALISBURY, Md.- The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Salisbury man for failure to register as a sex offender.

The sheriff's office said 32-year-old Edmond Landon Urie was taken into custody Sept. 24 after he moved from his listed address in Salisbury and relocated without notifying authorities as required.

According to the Maryland Sex Offender Registry, Urie is a Tier III (high-risk) sex offender. He is required to register his address with the sheriff's office and also check in every 90 days as a result of a third-degree sex offense conviction that occurred in 2004, authorities said.

Following his arrest, Urie was ordered held without bond in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
