QUEENSTOWN, Md.- An incident involving an armed man at the Royal Farms store in Queenstown Tuesday morning was resolved without anybody getting hurt, according to the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office.

Lt. Dale Patrick, a Sheriff's Office spokesperson, said deputies responded to the Royal Farms around 10:45 a.m. for a report of a suicidal man, possibly armed. Patrick said his office had received a call about a domestic dispute, which resulted in the man leaving the home with a firearm, threatening to kill himself. Patrick said officers responded to the Royal Farms just moments after the man apparently left the store. The store was cleared and a search of the area began.

Patrick said the man was found on Chester River Beach Road about an hour later. Patrick said officers also found an air soft pistol on the man, but it was unclear if that was the same firearm that was described in the original report.

Patrick said the man, whose name was not released, was taken to a medical facility for evaluation. No charges have been filed, but Patrick said charges against the man may be forthcoming.

Maryland State Police and the Maryland Transportation Authority Police also responded to the incident and assisted the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office.
