Ocean City Boardwalk Task Force Asks For Public Comments

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The new regulations regarding Ocean City street performers will be reviewed this month at a public hearing.

The Boardwalk Task Force invites anyone who wishes to give feedback to Council Chambers on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. The goal of the public hearing is to reflect on how the summer went with the new rules in place.

Written comments will also be accepted but must be received by the Boardwalk Task Force on or before Oct. 26 at noon. Submissions can be mailed to the Boardwalk Task Force c/o City Clerk, City Hall, P.O. Box 158, Ocean City, MD 21843.

The task force was established to study and make recommendations to the mayor and city council of how to balance the safe and family-friendly atmosphere of the boardwalk with the First Amendment rights of the people, including street performers, who have a stake in it.
