FENWICK ISLAND, Del. - A Sussex County man and woman have been arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a "smash-and-grab" vehicle break-in at Fenwick Island State Park, authorities said Thursday.

DNREC's Division of Parks and Recreation Natural Resources Police said they were able to track down the two suspects on Tuesday after credit cards that were stolen from the vehicle were used at several businesses in Bethany Beach within minutes of the break-in.

Brittany L. Seiders, 27, of Frankford and Charles H. Hawkins, 50, of Millsboro were taken into custody Tuesday. Seiders was charged with four felony counts of forgery, one felony count each of identity theft and third-degree burglary, four counts of unlawful use of a credit card, and one count each of theft, criminal mischief and attempted unlawful use of a credit card under $1,500, which are misdemeanors. Seiders was released on $5,000 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing, Natural Resources Police said.

Hawkins was charged with one felony count each of identity theft, second-degree conspiracy and third-degree burglary, and one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief under $1,000 and theft under $1,500. Hawkins was released on $2,200 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing, according to authorities.
