Cambridge Police Search for Suspects in Armed Robbery

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge police are searching for a group of men wanted for a Wednesday morning armed robbery.

Officers said that at around 9:30 a.m. they responded to an reported robbery to the ATM at the corner of High and Poplar streets. A victim at the scene told them he had just taken money out and was walking in the back parking lot of Poplar toward Gay Street when a man approached him from behind.

According to police, the victim described the suspect as a man dressed in all black clothing with a light colored bandana covering his face. Police said the victim reported that the man had a gun and pointed it at him while demanding he empty his pockets and give the suspect all his money.

That is when two other men came running, and the victim handed the group cash, according to police. The suspects then started to walk the victim to his car until became startled and took off toward High Street, police said. 

Officers said the gun is described as a rifle style weapon, possibly a BB gun.
