LAUREL, Del.- Laurel police are investigating a weekend shooting in the parking lot of a nightclub that left a woman injured after she was shot in the face.

Police said several shots were fired shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday outside Legends Bar, Grill and Lounge on County Seat Highway in Laurel while a fight was taking place.

According to police, an unidentified 25-year-old Millsboro woman was hospitalized after being shot once in the face while walking across the parking lot. She was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Her condition and details of her injury were not disclosed.

Police said an occupied vehicle nearby was also hit by several fired rounds, but there were no injuries.

Three people - 23-year-old Tevin Whaley of Ellendale, 23-year-old Randall Harris of Dover, and 20-year-old Lewis Foreman of Dover - were arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Whaley was released on bond. Police said Harris gave false information because he had active warrants out for his arrest. Police say Harris was also charged with criminal impersonation and possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, and was ordered held in Sussex Correctional Institution. Police said Foreman also had active warrants issued for his arrest, and he was ordered held in SCI.

Police said more suspects are beingsought, but no one has been charged specifically with shooting the woman.

Anyone with additional information regarding the shooting is asked to contact the Laurel Police Department at (302) 875-2244.
