CENTREVILLE, Md.- A Centreville man is arrested after deputies say he tried to break into his former high school teacher's home.

The Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office said it happened Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2:44 a.m.

According to deputies, Robert Taylor reported he had several videos of a man trying to enter his vehicles and home for the second time in a week in the 100 block of Creek Point Road.

Deputies said Taylor was able to identify the suspect because his wife was one of the man's teachers in high school.

The sheriff's office said the suspect was clearly visible in the videos.

Deputies said they arrested 20-year-old Daniel Vandegrift, of Centreville. The sheriff's office said he was charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Attempted 1st Degree Burglary, Attempted 4th Degree Burglary and Attempted Rogue and Vagabond.

According to the sheriff's office, Vandegrift was initially held on a $100,000 bond. At a later bail review, deputies said bond was lowered to $15,000.
