Mid-Shore Man Dies After Queen Anne's County Crash

Posted:

QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY, Md. – Maryland State Police say troopers are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle crash that killed a Maryland man last week.

Maryland State Police said that at around 4 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, troopers from the MSP barrack in Centreville were dispatched for an accident at U.S. 301 northbound and MD 290 in Queen Anne’s County.

When they arrived, emergency medical personnel were already on scene providing medical treatment to 25-year-old Allan Sissom of Millington, the driver of the SUV that had crashed.

Troopers say Sissom was traveling in the right lane of 301 northbound in the area of 290 when for unknown reasons he lost control of his car. Police said the SUV crossed over the left lane and hit the guardrail face on the left shoulder, then continued into the median, spinning and flipping.

According to police, Sissom was thrown from his car about 40 feet. He died at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown a few hours later.
