Teen Arrested in Connection with Delmar Robbery

DELMAR, Md.- Police arrested a teenager in connection to an armed robbery in Delmar, Md.

Delmar Police, along with units from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department and Maryland State Police, responded to Gordy Exxon on Ocean Highway Thursday afternoon.

Police say a 15-year-old boy approached the cashier with a dangerous weapon and demanded money. The cashier handed over the money, and the suspect ran away.

A k-9 unit from the Sheriff's department began to track the suspect in the woods. Police later arrested the teen at the Town of Delmar Waste Water Facility off of Connelly Mill Rd.

The 15-year-old is charged with Robbery, Armed Robbery, 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Dangerous Weapon Conceal, Dangerous Weapon- Intent/Injure, and Theft.

The suspect is being held at the Lower Eastern Shore Children's Center.
